Hello Everyone -- I'm sending this to everyone on my 9/11 contact list -- that is, everyone who has written to me whom I've been able to log into my contact list so far. I wanted to share with all of you some news about a big event that will be taking place in Phoenix on Monday. The members of the Phoenix, Arizona, 9/11 Truth Group have planned a major event to try to draw some attention to the need for a new investigation of 9/11. They will be holding a rally outside the office of Senator John McCain on Memorial Day -- Monday -- at 5 p.m. (Pacific time -- we don't do daylight savings time in Arizona). One of their leaders, "Blair," will begin a fast that day, and he will remain at McCain's office 24x7 as long as he can -- he's hoping for at least two weeks. The goal will be to get Senator McCain to agree to a request for a meeting and to give him an appointment for two hours for a presentation. Richard Gage (Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth) and Dr. Steven Jones are prepared to drop everything and fly to Phoenix to make presentations to the Senator should he agree to such a meeting. The local "Truthers" are planning to help out by taking turns sitting with Blair as he weakens from lack of food. He's been preparing for several weeks and has visited with his doctor on how to best handle this fast. His wife is a nurse, and she will be monitoring his vital signs.
9/11 "sister" groups in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco are also planning to hold simultaneous rallies on Monday outside the offices of Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and Rep. Nancy Pelosi respectively. A New Mexico 9/11 group is also rallying. We are very excited to see these other groups joining in the effort to support the Phoenix group.
Attached you will find a copy of the news release the Phoenix group sent out today. This has gone to all news outlets throughout the state of Arizona. I believe it also went to some of the national outlets as well. Many of you on this list live in other states outside of Arizona, and even some foreign countries. If you have news contacts in your local communities, feel free to send the news release to them as well.
During Blair's fast, the local group will be posting updates to their website. If you'd like to keep up with events, feel free to check the website over the next couple weeks at the following link:
I will update you regularly and especially if something interesting or dramatic happens. Keep Blair in your prayers -- it's not easy to fast when it's more than 100 degrees outside. He will be drinking water, but it's going to be rough -- this is desert country. He has some shade and -- no doubt -- a lot of sunscreen!
Best wishes to all of you for a wonderful Memorial Day weekend -- an appropriate time to remember the many victims of 9/11 and to do something to bring the truth to light.
Best regards,
Senator Karen S. Johnson
Arizona State Senate
